“What do you need to be at your best creatively?” Toni Morrison asked this question to her creative writing class and it always stuck with me. Often the answer isn’t what we think it is. Sometimes we stumble into it by accident. Sometimes it requires giving up what we think we want for what is actually good for us. I’ve built my life around protecting and nourishing that spark, and I know other creatives do, too.
Everyone has it in them to be creative. I’ll be interviewing people from diverse fields to ask them why they do what they do, how they hone their craft, and what it takes to stay in flow. We’ll discuss how to navigate the cycles of inspiration and doubt, productivity and rest, and success and failure, as well as how to decide which questions to tackle in our work.
NFTs and the blockchain present a unique opportunity for artists at the moment. Creatives can now own a greater percentage of their work and become collectors and patrons of each other. In that spirit, each episode of the podcast will be accompanied by two NFTs by the crypto artist // AEGEAN.
